What is the best way to plant the milk weed seeds. When should they go into the soil?

Your milkweed seeds should be mature; that is, the pod should be dry and cracked open. Then you take your cue from nature. They are naturally planted in the fall when they float on the wind. Plant them sparsely and plant now.
