Money tree trimming #284532

Asked October 13, 2015, 4:57 PM EDT

I really don't want to ruin this baby money tree it has 5 roots intertwined and when I cut it at the tops only 2 of 5 are growing new. What am I doing wrong? Please respond ASAP in picture do I need to cut down that hole stem until 3inches above a stem?

This plant looks generally pretty healthy to me. I'm not sure why you are trimming it at all. I would suggest first of all that you leave it alone and let it "do its own thing." Especially at this time of the year, when the plant naturally undergoes a mild dormancy.

Some of the trimmed shoots have buds on them. I would expect those buds to sprout when the plant resumes growth in the spring.
