This looks like a shrub dogwood.  Probably a native species, which is good.  You may be able to pin down the id based on the berry color when the berries have finished coloring and also based on the flowers next spring.  You are welcome to send more photos then and we should be able to be more specific.  Shrub dogwoods get fairly large and this one may ultimately do better in the ground.
