Galls on blueberry stems #278706

Asked September 16, 2015, 5:28 PM EDT

We have a u-pick blueberry farm in Holland, NY. We found this in some of the plants. We cannot find anything online close to this. Does anybody know what is it? Thank you very much,

Liza

This pest has become more and more common here in Michigan as we have stopped using powerful broad spectrum insecticides at petal fall to control cranberry and cherry fruitworm. we are still trying to get a good handle on control.
It likes Jersey and Liberty.
What variety did you find this on?
We are still working on developing a control program here in Michigan.

I am sure we will have more information at our winter meetings and something will be posted next spring.
