Can I preserve aronia berries like I would cherries; can them whole in syrup?

You could can them. It you intend to use them as juice. It would be better to juice them first, then can the juice. See: http://digitalcommons.unl.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1039&context=extensionhist
