We found this beetle several days ago alive on our fence in Albany, Oregon, near the Oak Creek Trail and woodland. We found it again "dead" a few days later. Is this a Palo Verde Beetle???? Or some other specie? Will include photos.

Close, this is a related species probably Prionus sp. The palo verde beetle is native to the south-western US. These large beetles are often attracted to lights at night during late summer.
