Bottle Gourd Plant #273160

Asked August 26, 2015, 2:22 PM EDT

My bottle gourd plant has started yielding fruits. However the plant looks like it is infested with some kind of disease or pest damage. I have enclosed the picture of the leaf. Please let me know what it is and how I can treat the condition.

We do not see anything in this photo that suggests that your gourd needs to be treated now.  It could have mildew, anthracnose, insect damage, but it is too late to treat for these things now.  These look like old gourd leaves that are dying, common on gourds at this time of year, especially following a very dry period.  Water deeply when it is dry and remove yellow leaves.  vw
