    Is there a way to diminish the effects of nematodes in my backyard garden? My three bean plants died quickly and the effects on 20+ okra plants was notable last summer.. The leaves fell off and okra pods diminished. Is it possible to use beneficial nematodes to compete with the parasitic species? Thank you

    We just bought a home in Easton with about 3 acres and its mostly lawn.     I am looking for some guidance on weed remediation, aeration and overseeding. Mainly, I’m looking for guidance on timing (month(s)) for aeration and seeding and recommended herbicides for weed remediation in our southernmost lawn. I will aim to provide a soil sample to a local extension soon. I believe it would be best to put down a Preen early season weed preventer, then aerate and overseed a few weeks later; however, I could be completely off on this. I have provided some images of the weeds we see below. Thank you for your time.

    A new weed has popped up in my landscape over the last couple of years, and I think it is chickweed -- tiny white flowers on rounded mounds of tiny green leaves, with seeds that pop off the flowers and spread all over in the spring if I don't get to it early enough. I have it this spring and have been pulling it. I believe it is a reseeding annual, is that right? Do you recommend a preemergent such as Preen to control, and it is too early to apply Preen or another preemergent agent now?
