Palm of some kind?? #271677

Asked August 20, 2015, 4:18 PM EDT

hi, we inherited this house plant from the previous owner when we bought our house. A simple search on your app doesn't seem to find it. Any help appreciated. It's about five feet tall from the base of the three trunks to the top.

Expert Response

Lucky you to inherit a nice plant like this along with the new house. This looks to me like some variety of Dracaena. There are *many* cultivars available in the family. Keep it fairly evenly moist but well drained in bright but indirect light. Wherever the previous owners were keeping it... it really liked the spot. If it gets too tall there are fairly simple ways to repropagate it.
Enjoy the new house.
