Hi, I live in Brookvill... #269259

Hi, I live in Brookville, OH and I'm involved with our local Garden Club. We are doing a project (sachets) in the spring. I don't have any lavender or fragrant roses and wondered of you could provide names of places or people who do have these flowers or other everlastings. They can either be fresh or dried. Unfortunately, the questions are assigned to Master Gardeners from around the state of Ohio. I am not near your county so am not familiar with sources you might be able to tap into for the Roses and Lavender. However, I do have some ideas.

Some folks who might be able to help you would be the Montgomery County Master Gardener program. They can be reached at the Montgomery County OSU Extension Office at:

Another source that might help you is the Miami Valley Rose Society. You can reach them by contacting the person below (I believe Clayton is close to you):

Another thought would be to contact the Dayton Metro Parks. They might allow you to go into the parks and deadhead the roses, giving you the petals you will need.
