something eating flowers of geranium. Leaves little poop.. black a bit bigger than black pepper. #268886

I've had this before, it is some sort of caterpillar.. I have tried Sevin but not getting good results.  any suggestions . I have had this for years, I get new soil each year.. I don't get it.

We need to know what's doing the damage before we can suggest a way to deal with the problem. If the pests are still present, careful inspection should reveal them.

If most of the damage occurs on the buds, the pest may be the tobacco budworm. Go here to learn about it:
