I was given this plant has a gift, it needs a lot of water, it can not go three days without water. I am having a hard time trying to keep this live, It has never flowered, Can you tell me what it is, and how it care for it.

This looks like Fittonia. Fittonia make for difficult houseplants because they require very high and constant humidity, like the micro-climate that a terrarium offers. However, they don't like wet feet--soggy soil will kill them.
