Tropical Fruit? #264919

Asked July 26, 2015, 11:55 AM EDT

i know this is not Cherimoya or Lucuma. I also planted Guanabana which is the only other seeds I had, so I thought. The Lucuma seed got molded & the cherimoya is doing fine. You can't see it from the photo but this plant has staggering leaves off the stem. Does this look like Guanabana to you?

Expert Response

Dear EBR,
The leave you show in your attachment looks like a pepper leaf.  It is not a Guanabana.  I have attached a photo of the guanabana leaf or soursop leaf.

Hmmm... I guess I'll have to see what sprouts!

Thanks,

I think that would be a good plan.  Is it possible that the sample you posted is a pepper. Sure looks like it.

I do have Aji Amarillo seeds but I didn't think I got them mixed with my fruit seeds...
