White spots/mildew/mold on squash plants & leaves #264328

Asked July 23, 2015, 2:03 PM EDT

The squash plants in my raised bed in Bend, Oregon are covered with white spots, mildrew, or mold. I've tried the organic approach of spraying the leaves with baking soda diluted in water but the spots are spreading. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Hi,  It does look like you may have the start of powdery mildew on your squash from the photo you submitted. Here is a link with suggested management for cultural or chemical control.  The ones designated with an "H" stands for homeowner use and those with an "O" stands for organic.  There are several options for you to choose from, be sure and follow label directions accordingly.
