crimson king maple tree #263908

Asked July 22, 2015, 9:05 AM EDT

I have a crimson king maple tree in my backyard. Last week I noticed that a branch had started to turn brown. The next day the leaves were all brown and curled up. Now other branches are showing the same thing. My neighbor is starting to see the same thing in his maple tree. I do not want to lose this tree. It was a gift to my mom years ago and it is the shade tree for the one side of my yard. Is there a blight hitting these trees and if so will it recover? Please help if you can.
