2 questions both pertaining to leaf problems on vegetables. The symptoms on a pepper plant problem is the leaves are turning brown but not falling off. The planets were planted in a raised garden plot with newly purchased soil. The raised bed is constructed of cedar material. Our weather is a little bit wetter than other years but I don't think it has been an extraordinary wet year. I should have asked more about how the leaves were turning brown, from the edges in or from the middle out, that might make a difference in the diagnosis. There were not any noticeable insects on the plants. The other leaf problem was on some cucumber plants. The plant vines look healthy but the leaves on the vines close to where the stems come out of the ground are turning yellow. These plants were planted in normal garden soil and were looking good until the leaves turned yellow. The fruit hasn't been affected by the leaf yellowing. In this situation there weren't any insects visible either.

There are many possibilities for the things you are seeing in your garden. If you are able to send photos, someone may be able to better help with identification. Also, have you ever used the U of MN website that helps identify common garden problems? I've included the link below for vegetable problems so that you can look and see if any of the descriptions match with what you are seeing with your plants. http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/diagnose/plant/vegetable/
