I live in Southwest Houston and have a wax ligustrum tree that isn't doing well (see pictures). Any idea what's wrong and how to treat? Or, can you suggest someone to come look at it?

Howdy!
Waxleaf is a pretty resilient shrub. BUT, it's one weakness is too much water. If spring brought long term damp conditions, the root hairs will die off and cause the plant to look rather rough. Good news, with a bunch of TLC it can respond. I would,
1. Add a 1 inch layer of quality compost under the whole rooting area.
2. Cover that with about 3-5 inches of a good hardwood mulch.
3. monitor irrigation practices. Watering deep, once a week. Avoid overwatering with multiple applications a week, as this will make the root system continue to decline.
Follow this and you should be alright. Best of luck!
