my Red pine (Norway) is having a bark issue how can I treat? row of trees 12 this is on 1st 3

1st tree has lots of dead branches...I am worried they have a bug issue and could take down all 12 trees

appears what ever is happening is going on 1st three in the row. All trees are about 5 feet from Water(Turtle lake)

The photo lacks the detail to be certain, but it suggests that your concern about insect damage is justified. When borer activity under the bark is extensive, trees begin to die and the bark falls off or is removed by birds or other animals that feed on the borers. Trees under stress from factors such drought or flooding are especially susceptible to borer damage.
