Weed identification #243879

Asked May 12, 2015, 9:55 PM EDT

This plant is appearing in many places in my yard, both cultivated and wild. Some of the leaves have three lobes, but most have have five. It appears to be growing upward. It has not flowered. Photos show two different plants, and the third shows new growth at the top of one plant. I would love to know what it is so I can decide how to handle it.

Expert Response

Your vine is one of the several species of a non-native, invasive 'weed', known as 'Porcelain Berry Vine'.  You really should remove it   Some homeowners are quite taken with the attractive berries, but later regret this infatuation.
