Client stated the trees appear to be showing some kind of damage and I'd aware what is causing it. She stated the gardener added soil which had been in bags for several months around the Orange Tree. There are small black ants going up and down the tree.

Expert Response
Do not worry about the ants that are in the trees as they are not causing any type of damage. The spots on the orange tree could be an indication of nitrogen deficiency. I would get a slow release nitrogen fertilizer and apply a bit around all of the trees and then either water it in or hope for a rain to do the same. Use one half pound of fertilizer per inch of trunk diameter on each tree and spread this fertilizer around the drip line or outer edge of the tree canopy.
