Eradicating star of bethlehem bulb in beds #239295
Asked April 24, 2015, 11:20 AM EDT
I have an infestation of star of bethlehem in beds planted last fall. Is there a chemical that can be applied to the foliage. I have been told that round-up is not effective. Please advise. Some of the bulbs have invaded newly planted ornamentals. Thank you!

The best approach is to dig them now while the soil is moist. Dig deep enough to get all the bulbs. RoundUp works about as well as any chemical, ie. not very well. Smash the foilage before painting the RoundUp on the damaged leaves. Meanwhile keep digging. vw
