daphne species #237765

Asked April 17, 2015, 7:47 PM EDT

Here are some pictures of a daphne that I planted 19 years ago. I am not sure what mine is. I went to the grange and they told me that it was not the Carol Mackie. I think that it is. I want to purchase another like I have. I am sending these pictures so that perhaps you can tell me what it is. Many thanks, Kim

I am making a few assumptions based on the pictures: that it is blooming now so it is a spring blooming daphne and it is a low bush. This website from OSU list various varieties of daphne. Click on leaf, flowers, habits to find out more about each one. http://oregonstate.edu/dept/ldplants/1plants.htm#daphne. My guess would be "Lawrence Crocker" based on your picture. Another website with information on daphnes, and that list "Lawrence Crocker" as a spring bloomer is http://blog.oregonlive.com/homesandgardens/2010/01/a_years_worth_of_daphne_blooms.html
