Austrian Pine Needle problem #235122

Asked April 06, 2015, 2:19 PM EDT

The needles have a small band around it spaced about an inch apart. I have attached a couple of pictures of the problem. Can you tell what is causing this problem and any treatment for the problem?

Thank you.

It's really hard to tell from a photo. My first thoughts are Dothistroma needle blight. Here is a link to information on Dothistroma; http://msue.anr.msu.edu/news/managing_needle_blights_of_pine

You may want to send a sample into the MSU Diagnostic Services to confirm or identify the problem. http://www.pestid.msu.edu/
