Can you tell my why my monkey tail tree of 11 years in the same spot, has decided to start turning yellow on the ends.

This appears to be a duplicate question with a new photo. It shows the encroachment of the lawn clearly. this is not good for the tree. Do not use a weedwhacker around the base of trees and shrubs. Mulch to prevent all other growth out to the spread of the branches.
