Can anyone tell me what this plant is? it has  dark green almost rubery type feel of leaves, the small buds you see at the end of the leaves are the new buds of plants. They grow around each leaf. These new bud are numerous and continuous. It also blooms approx once a year, the first picture shows the flower buds about to bloom, i can add another picture once they are in bloom, It likes direct light and very little water. the leaves are very unsual to touch, the flowers are a light purple almost mauve in colour, not a lot of smell to them. I was given the plant by a friend whose office was throwing it away, I now have numerous plants like this however no idea what this is and where to start looking for an answer.
