100 foot trees in backyard #213657

Asked September 22, 2014, 12:33 PM EDT

Hi, we have a good amount of 100 foot tulip poplar and oak trees in our yard and a local abortist suggested contacting you in regards to their health and having them taken down for our safety. Thank you for your help!

Expert Response

I don't quite understand your question.  Are you asking for help in identifying the health of the trees or help in having the trees removed?

The Master Gardener program consists of volunteers who attempt to educate and inform consumers on horticulture issues.  Our normal response would be to contact an arborist to assess the health of the trees which you have already done.

if you are seeking assistance in having the trees removed our response would also be to contact an arborist or tree removal service.

Perhaps you could clarify the type of assistance you are seeking.

Thank you for your response and help! Yes, we are planning to have the trees looked at again. The arborist mentioned to check with you as well. Thank you again for getting back to us!
