We recently bought some small honeysuckle plants, but they didn't have any tags. Is there a way to distinguish between bush and vine varieties when they are still young?

The uppermost leaves on honeysuckle vines are often directly attached to the stem. (There is no petiole or leaf stalk.). See photograph at the following website.

The leaves on a honeysuckle shrub have a leaf stem that is typically 1/4 inch long.

Thank you!! I think these are definitely bush type. The leaves at the tip are not attached directly to the main stem.
