They are small to medium size apples. Someone said they are Japanese apples. Are Asian and Japanese pear the same? They have about 4 to 5 per cluster if that makes sense. I really know nothing about apples, but I have about 30 trees loaded with this fruit.
Sure looks like an Asian Pear to me as well. Pyrus pyrifolia is a pear tree species native to China, Japan, and Korea. The tree's edible fruit is known by many names, including: Asian pear, Chinese pear, Korean pear, Japanese pear, Japanese Apple Pear. Despite being also known as an apple pear due to its appearance and texture, the fruit is not a hybrid of the two.
