I noticed a weird growth on the door frame of my backdoor. At first I thought it was a bug when I saw it from afar, but when I got closer I noticed that it looked more like a fungus with tentacles. I tried to search through Google Images, but could not find an exact match. I was wondering if you (whomever "you" may be) could tell me what exactly it is? I'm really creeped out by it! I haven't knocked it down yet, but I'm tempted to do so everytime I am outside. Any help in identifying it would be greatly appreciated. I've attached pictures to help with identification. Thanks!
