I just bought my kaffir lime tree which is about 2.5 feet tall. It looks quite healthy except it has leaf miners I don't know what to do with it. I use organic insecticide, which doesn't seems to help. On top of that yesterday I saw some kind of insect eggs ( attached picture) that I don't know what kind of insect it is. Could u please help me determine the kind of insect so that ican find a way to treat it. Thank u

Expert Response
We can't identify the insect by the eggs. As for the leaf miners, they are difficult to treat, because the eggs and larvae are inside the actual leaf tissue.
You can manage the leafminer problem by using horticultural mineral oil sprays labeled for citrus, but only as a preventative measure by targeting new growth. Each time you see a large amount of new leaves, consider protecting it with an application of oil.
