How do I know how much water I can get from my roof?

Burnet County Texas

Expert Response

You can collect .6 gallons for every square foot in an one inch rainfall. So a 2,000 sq ft roof can harvest 1200 gallon when it rains 1 inch

Email me at d-woodson@tamu.edu and I will send you a booklet with all the formulas for how much you can capture and how much is needed in the landscape
