Bean worm? #186594

Asked May 29, 2014, 9:18 PM EDT

Hi, My beans have been producing well, and are very tasty. Recently I have been noticing small holes in a few of them, and this evening I picked a bean with quite a small green insect burying itself inside the bean. What is this, and should I use an organic herbicide in the future?

Good question. I am sorry with the resolution of your pictures I couldnt tell anything definitive. Stinkbugs are the usual culprit on bugs but it could be a number of otehrs? A good organic herbicide in the future is what you asked, a herbicide kills plants. Did you mean pesticide?  You might look at spraying with a insecticidal soap to help control the insects?
