Is this leaf a sign of a bigger problem? #185344

Asked May 26, 2014, 12:19 PM EDT

We have lived in our house for almost 6 years, and there is a large (70 ft high and about 4 ft in diameter) tree in the backyard. Last year the leaves started falling off in the spring, and it is happening again. Why is it happening and how can I fix it?

Expert Response

Take samples of leaves that are showing signs of disease along with leaves that are looking normal in to the county master gardener help desk.  If they need to they may send it on to the plant path lab for further diagnosis (if possible).  Call ahead to be sure of the help desk hours.
