What are these weeds? They used to be confined to a small area of the garden, but this year they have spread throughout the lawn. We try not to use chemicals on the lawn, but I am not sure pulling will work on all of them. Thanks.

Creeping Bellflower (Campanula rapunculoides) is an
aggressive perennial that is very difficult to control by hand removal. You must get
all parts of the plants and the aggressive rhizome root system or it will
regrow. It is resistant to 2,4-D but
repeated spot applications of dicamba will kill it. http://uwexvideochannel.org/2014/05/06/identifying-invasive-creeping-bellflower-campanula-rapunculoides/
