I know that wine sales in the USA were over $34B in 2013. However, I'm looking to track down what percentage of that total was made up of organic wines. Can you help please?

Hello!  Thank you for using eXtension and eViticulture! I tried to search for an answer and it looks like the Organic Trade Association - http://www.ota.com/index.html has some information for sale, but other articles have used their data to highlight wine sales.

I wasn't able to find very informative journal articles - but there are a few:- http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cb.210/pdf and http://www.emeraldinsight.com/journals.htm?articleid=17014458&show=abstract.  The closest I can get to a number is $24.8 billion for organic beverages AND food.  I'm sorry that I can't be of more help, but I hope that there are some useful numbers in these articles.  One person that might know is Paul Vossen,Fruit, Vegetable & Marketing Advisor, (707) 565-2621, pmvossen@ucdavis.edu
