I read about an annual plant called balsam. What is balsam, and where can I find it? I don't recall seeing it in any garden centers I have been to in the past.

Balsam or Impatiens balsamina is an old-fashioned tender annual with trumpet-shape
blooms, mostly in shades of pink. You can grow your own transplants from seed. Balsam
seed sprouts in only 4 to 5 days and flowers early, growing to be 12 to 24" tall. Plant
established plants outdoors in spring after all danger of frost has passed.
Balsam needs rich, well-drained soil.
