St. Augustine grass #160523

Asked November 15, 2013, 12:24 PM EST

My St. Augustine grass, I was told has brown spot. It is spreading all over. Will it kill the grass, or will it grow back. Who could test the grass for fungus?  I live in Roanoke , Tx.  Thanks Grady

Expert Response

Hi Grady,
Are you referring to brown patch? That is a common disease of St Augustine. It is very likely to manifest this time of year in the cooler temperatures. You can send a sample for testing at the Plant Clinic at Texas A&M:http://plantclinic.tamu.edu/
