Expert Response

Leaf minors certainly seem to be active this time of year.   The best controls for leaf minor are cultural.  Excluding the insects with a row cover is one of the best ways.  First, prune off the worst of the leaves, then cover,  Row covers are fabric with very small holes that let light and water through but exclude insects.  It is available at many gardening centers.  Chemicals are usually not used or available for leaf minors.  I hope this helps, Linda
